Idris Elba stars the BBC new series Luther alongside Steven Mackintosh.

The Hackney actor, who played criminal mastermind Stringer Bell in cult series The Wire, will play a police detective alongside Steven Mackintosh in the new show.

青白くてひ弱そう（こら）見た目にも対照的な「ロック・ストック」のスティーヴン・マッキントッシュ *1と組むのでバディ物かと思いきや「自身の中に、殺人鬼達よりも危険な闇を抱える刑事ジョン・ルーサーを演じる、ダークな心理サスペンス」のようです。

Luther is a dark psychological crime drama in which John Luther, a detective struggling with his own terrible demons, might just be as dangerous as the depraved murderers he hunts.
