まだパイロットの段階ですが、NBCのコメディRex Is Not Your Lawyerで「弁護士だけど弁護しない弁護士」レックスを演じます。パニック障害を持つため、クライアントに自分で弁護できるように指導するとか。ドクター・フーで「頭良くてスマートだけど変わってる人」の役はお手の物なので、パイロットが上手くいくことを祈ってます！・・・が、もっとドクターと全然違う役も見てみたかったかも。

David Tennant is coming to America. Reports from early this morning (3 November) indicate that the Scottish actor, fresh off his leading role in Doctor Who, will star as the lead character in the new NBC comedic legal drama, "Rex Is Not Your Lawyer." The series premise features Tennant as a top Chicago litigator, who begins suffers a series of panic attacks. This illness forces the lawyer,, whose name is presumably the titular "Rex," to instruct his clients to represent themselves in court.

The series has been in development for the past two years and was first green-lit in August of this year. After months of searching for an actor to fill the lead role, David Tennant auditioned and reportedly "nailed the part." Tennant is an established television and stage actor, but will make his US television debut with this series.
